EDUCATION is the foundation of Florida's economic success.  We can find new solutions to support our educational system.  Let us invest in a long-term approach to:

  • Create and implement a 5-10 year strategic plan;
  • Utilize fair measurements for appropriated accountability;
  • Put an end to unfunded and under-funded mandates; and,
  • Maximize the value of education as a preventive measure for the correctional system.

The driving costs of HEALTH CARE requires policies for long-term and community care.  Let us efficiently invest our tax dollars in new solutions to:

  • Create plans to address the cost of long-term care;
  • Coordinate efforts between medical assistance programs and the Department of Elder Affairs;
  • Address access to primary care to reduce the frequency of emergency room visits; and,
  • Develop plans that include affordable healthcare.

Florida beaches attract millions of visitors each year.  Protecting our waters and investing in energy efficiency is a priority.  Let us protect our ENVIRONMENT by creating a long-term plan and find new solutions to:

  • Promote clean water and protect our coasts and waterways from hazardous wastes;
  • Provide financial incentives for specified improvements associated with clean energy and preventing hurricane damage;
  • Develop plans that utilize natural resources for energy independence; and,
  • Create incentives to minimize waste in our communities.
