I am excited about what the future holds. The problems in Florida are too great to sit on the sidelines and do nothing. Now is the time more than ever to pay attention and become more involved in the political process. One does not have to walk our legislative halls or step on the Senate floor to have a keen eye to detect that the Florida of today suffers from the decisions made by the Florida of yesterday. When the financial times were plenty the legislature squandered our resources and today continues to lean more on the taxpayer to pay for its unfair policies and lack of transparency in the budget process.
