State and Local Leaders Endorse Nina Hayden
St. Petersburg – As attention begins to turn to the 2010 state elections, Pinellas School Board Member Nina Hayden’s State Senate District 16 campaign is gaining attention, supporters and endorsements.
Today the campaign released a list of prominent state and local endorsements:
Ronald Brise, Florida State House of Representatives (D, District 108)
Steve Kornell, St. Petersburg City Council
Karl Nurse, St. Petersburg City Council
Linda Lerner, Pinellas County School Board
“Nina Hayden is exactly the right person for us in these challenging times,” said Steve Kornell. “I have no doubt that as voters learn more about her they will come to the same conclusion I have - we need Nina’s fresh voice and leadership working on the local level for us in the State Senate.”
“I talk to families everyday who are just trying to make it,” said State Senate candidate Nina Hayden. “Families trying to pay their bills and still put something aside for their children’s college or for retirement, but there’s just not enough to go around. They need representatives in Tallahassee who understand, representatives who want to keep us moving forward, not take us backward; that’s why I’m running for the State Senate.”
Nina Hayden is running to replace State Senator Charlie Justice who is vacating his seat to run for Congress. In addition to serving as an elected member of the Pinellas School Board, Nina Hayden is also an attorney in the Public Defender’s office.
